Currency
Since 1 January 2002, the Euro (€) was the only unit of currency in Germany.

There are seven denominations of the euro note: € 5, € 10, € 20, € 50, € 100, € 200 and € 500 (there are eight denominations of coin: 1 cent, 2 cent, 5 cent, 10 cent, 20 cent, 50 cent and 1 and 2 euro).

Airport Information
The main airport serving the city is Tegel which is situated in north-west Berlin, approximately 8 km from the city-centre. The taxi fare from Tegel to the city centre
is approximately € 20.

There is also a very user friendly JetExpressBus "TXL" service from the airport which departs every 10 minutes. Journey time to the "Stadtmitte" stop, which is nearest to the Astron Hotel takes around 25 minutes.

The fare is approximately € 3.
